I’ve never worked with a coach before. What can I expect?
Coaching is the best way to get the help you need to get to where you want to go. Most people come to coaching because they want to change: raise more money, grow their organization, become confident leaders. I believe in compassionate leadership, and the power of human connection to change the world. Learning how to lead effectively is a key component to my coaching sessions, and I am proud to say I have worked with people of many different shapes, sizes and sectors.
Do you coach in person?
My clients live all over North America! I use Adobe Connect for all my coaching calls. It’s got a video component and a telephone component so we can work together as if we’re in the same room. My 12 month coaching programs all have an in-person component because the group needs to gel together in order for them to trust and grow with each other.
I’ve never participated in a Mastermind program before. What can I expect?
You can expect all of our sessions to be very interactive. Come prepared to ask questions, make comments, and seek feedback. If you don’t ask, you won’t find the answer.
In addition to the course content, I also supply TONS of great sample documents, links to other blog posts, comments and feedback on your fundraising documents. You will get as much out of the course as you put in. I package my content in manageable bits so that you can accomplish your goals AND have time to reflect on them.
The target audience for the Fundraising Fundamentals class is anyone whose job description involves fundraising (and that includes volunteers!). The sessions work best for small to mid-size shops where there are very few fundraisers (or none!). Note that they are small shops vis-à-vis fundraising (i.e. they do very little) but they may have large budgets.
Who do you work with Jenny?
I have worked with:
- Not-for-profit professionals from museums, social services, human rights, recreation and arts organizations;
- Individuals looking to make a career change into the not-for-profit world;
- Dedicated board members who want to do a better job representing their organization;
- Graphic designers who support the not-for-profit industry;
- Passionate people who do fundraising, and live all across the country.
- National organizations rolling out fundraising initiatives across multiple offices across Canada.
Fundraising masterminds include networking and peer coaching within each session. You will meet other people who are passionate about their projects, and you will get the chance to explore how THEY do things at their organization, or how THEY raise funds. I describe it as “walking in the shoes of 5 fundraisers at once.”
Still have questions?
