52 Weeks to Rekindle your Mojo

Mojo . . .

It’s that bounce in your step, that flutter in your heart that happens when you’re excited to go to work in the morning.

If you’ve got it, you know it.

If you don’t got it, you also know it.

I’ve lived on both sides of the fundraising mojo chasm. I’ve felt the pain and frustration of a collaboration project going sideways for political reasons, and I’ve also felt the elation of completing a longstanding project with great success.

Having powerful mojo is the single biggest predictor of success.

People who’ve got mojo are infectious…in a good way! They’re the people in the office who get promoted, inspire gifts, and raise morale for everyone around them. Call it mindset, call it positivity: how you show up at work (and how you talk about yourself, and your work) matters.

Those seeking mojo advice usually hang out in the self-help or business section at the bookstore. Rarely is it in the not-for-profit management section. Our books focus on the process, not the people – fundraising excellence, evaluating your organizational processes, board governance 101.

Meet your #FundraisingMojo blogger

Hi! I’m Jenny, a fundraising coach who helps not-for-profit leaders change the world…one mission at a time!

My love of working with passionate people guided me from a career as a classical pianist into leadership coaching. I am lucky to be able to draw on my years as a professional musician: I strive to bring creativity, energy and excellence to everything I do.

My favorite part of my job is working alongside the incredible people who make up the not-for-profit sector: the staff and boards who work every day to make the world a better place. I believe that the not-for-profit sector levels the playing field for humanity, and that mindset and leadership skills play a pivotal role in our ability to create change on the planet where we all live.

My best skills? I am crazy curious, and I love connecting with people on a deep, personal level. My work as a coach is fueled by my love (and respect) for the people that I work with.

This #FundraisingMojo blog is a direct outcome of my work with not-for-profit leaders from across North America. I am sharing my experiences, and my personal journey to bring you a wealth of ideas, knowledge, and practical tips to help you raise more money, and be happier doing it.

I look forward to helping you rekindle your mojo as you strive for excellence, every day, in every way.
